VanCannon is currently working on a series of winery and vineyard paintings. She has taken a unique approach by painting on wine barrel staves. The rustic Oak wood staves add to the look and feel of the winery landscape paintings. The round curve of the staves create a 3-D look to the painting when hanging on a wall. She uses oil paint and seals with varnish to ensure the longevity of the painting. She also loves the thick texture and rich vivid colors she can achieve by using oil.
