Supplies you need for Oil: Ivory Black, Titanium White, Burnt Umber in oil paint (student grade paint works great) brushes, orderless turpenoid and a jar or can for it to go in, linseed oil and small container for it, palette - wooden or use a piece of glass, paper towels, and notebook with pen or pencil.

Brushes (may be your most costly investment, but they will last a long time if taken care of)

Liner - Pick one small skinny size 1 or 2 liner
There will be a lot to choose from I prefer the long handled ones. Choose some synthetic bristle some hog bristle for oil, or all synthetic for acrylic. Utrect usually has good sales, University Art is very helpful…. and both I believe give student discounts. Mention Patris Gallery and Studio.
